Blogging one's experience is very therapeutic to the person with cancer or the ones who love them. It can also be a great way to share information and help others.  Moreover, blogging can inspire others to keep fighting the fight. There is something special to me about being allowed in to other people's journeys. It helped us continue with our own. Here are three blogs that have been a tremendous inspiration and I highly recommend them:

The outpouring of support and love has been so inspirational to all of us throughout the year of our journey.  We are struck by how much our mom meant to so very many people. Most remarkable are the lovely articles that have appeared in the local papers in the past week.

This attachment is a wonderful article written by a mother of three on living with advanced breast cancer as a chronic disease like asthma or diabetes. It is in PDF format.

The people - all of you who are reading this blog, setting up prayer networks, calling, sending cards, food, contributions, gifts - you are such an inspiration to all of us, particularly mom. The support is overwhelming. Moreover, it gives mom such hope and courage to know that so many people are behind her. Thank you - you are making a difference in saving a life!

A new inpsirational song, suggested by our dear friend, Joe. It was written for the Lance Armstrong Foundation - Livestrong. Very powerful lyrics. Link below will take you to the song and the lyrics.

For Update on Progress, click on the category on the right hand side of this page entitled "Updates, Progress and Diary of Experience".

We're learning that you have to find inspiration where you can get it. For us, particularly me, it has been in music. In addition to the song everyone knows - the theme from the original movie "Rocky", here's some others:

Upside Down - from the score to "Curious George" by Jack Johnson. It's all about not taking no for an answer and the joy that you get from analyzing a problem and doing everything to solve it in spite of the neigh-sayers!!!

Live Like You Were Dying - by Tim McGraw, album of the same name. Attended the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life opening ceremony and candle lighting last night. This was the theme song last night and the lyrics were very, very powerful.

Mom likes these songs: So You've Had a Bad Day, by John Powter and No More Cloudy Days, by the Eagles.
